While surfing through my college day photos I remembered one
very funny incident that took place when I was in my first year of graduation.
The partner in craziness was my bestie – Chaitra. Along with our regular
college (BA 1
st year) we had enrolled for an evening course for
event management . This course kept us tied up day & night with the continuous
events happening all the time. So our parents were worried about our academic
performance. Both of us were aiming towards specializing in Economics during
the second year so finally we got convinced that in order to score well we need
to join coaching classes for economics. We joined one of the most credible classes
in the city and for a change made it a point to attend them very religiously.
However, we soon realized that what was being taught in the class was different
than what they teach us in college but we thought that may be it’s the difference
of sub-sections in Economics – Micro & Macro. So we attended the class
almost for 10 months. Our vacations were going on and Chaitra had gone to visit
her dad in Africa that time. So I went
to the office to check when the classes will resume and here I got to know
about something beyond our thoughts……..the classes were over and why it was
different than our college sessions was because throughout all these months we
had attended the Economics lectures for Commerce and not Arts….Freakkkkk…I
really didn’t know how to react when the lady there said ‘Commerce Economics
class portion is covered and its all done now’……How stupid and funny we could
be…how come we never realized it all these months and what reason are we gonna
give to our parents for scoring less….do we now have an option of writing the
economics paper for commerce stream…gosshsh…we both literally thought of all
the possible options but simply kept scratching our heads for our craziness. At
the end we managed to score a distinction in economics and completed our
specialization with good marks.
But even today when we look back at this incident me & Chait can’t stop laughing at our madness and cherish it with the same amount of
laughter even after so many years.
Crazy memories of our crazy world…
