I love being with myself and assessing myself against various parameters. Today I read a post in morning and got inspired for writing this blog. I am 23 so I decided to write a blog about 23 things I want myself to know at 23. So here I go:
1. Its good to be discipline and mature but its equally important to experience that feel of madness at times.
2. Concentrate on your health issues on priority as they will make you sore tomorrow…wear your specs or get a laser done, do your knee exercises regularly. Health is the true wealth is what you have learnt being a defence officer’s child.
3. Stop whatsapping so much – remember your own funda of not getting addicted to any damn thing in this world.
4. Make time for your parents. They are your biggest assets and however old you grow, there is still a scope to learn from them. And for the obvious reason…you mean the world to them.
5. You are partnered with one of the best person in this whole wide world – he loves you, cares for you & values you even beyond what you always wanted so just stop worrying about those tit bit arguments & reactions. Smile over the fact as to how quickly you both bounce back rather than how oftenly the arguments happen.
6. Take time for your hobbies – go swim, play chess, read your books, get back to your culinary skills and keep writing your blogs. A weekend is not that short that you don’t do a single activity out of these.
7. Wear those bright colors. You can definitely carry them well.
8. Stop having a futuristic approach towards every damn thing. Experience the present for it won’t come back
9. Don’t think so much about your job. Making money is surely important but not more than making a life for yourself. And you are doing that in your current job.
10. You are compassionate if not emotional…express that. It won’t make you a weak person.
11. Get that long awaited tattoo done for yourself.
12. Its good to make plans but just be prepared that 2 out of 10 might wander off the path so stay calm.
13. Travel around places…as often as time & money allow.
14. Your friends are still a vital part of your life its just that you are prioritizing your relationship a little more than that and there s absolutely nothing wrong into it…everyone does it. Those who are your true friends would infact want you to do that so stop feeling guilty because rest of them are upset with you.
15. Flowers are beautiful…and you can’t forget that so early.
16. You love driving and very soon you are going to experience that feel of driving all alone. There s always a first time for everything.
17. You need not strive to be a perfectionist in everything for mistakes are said to be the best teachers.
18. Post-marriage Pune, Mumbai or any other city…should that really matter if you have your loved ones around you?
19. People have high expectations from you because they believe in you so take it as a challenge instead of pressure.
20. Because it happened with someone somewhere doesn’t mean it will happen with you. Its good to be prepared but don’t simply be immersed into it.
21. Stop feeling guilty about the mood swings which you get. They are very rare and won’t make you imbalanced. So just go with the flow.
22. Its good to look upto someone as your inspiration but don’t forget that you are unique and your benchmarks must be set as per your capabilities and not someone else’s achievements.
23. Remember what your brother always tells you….be proud about the person you are…strong, confident and beautiful.
PS: Thanks to the author whose blog inspired me this morning to pen-down this.
